Welcome, thanks for coming!

G’day there, I’m Michelle (but many call me Coxxy) & I’ve been enamoured with travel & all it entails my whole life. Originally from Melbourne, Australia – I’ve been lucky enough to have lived in many cities & countries & explored some far away places at great length. I am fundamentally a nomad at heart. Whilst there’s been many, I’ve stopped counting the countries & cities I’ve been to. Rather preferring to get excited about what else is out there to explore.

I’ve worked in the travel industry for 18 years. An amazing industry where, I’ve not only been lucky enough to travel for a living…but met some incredible people along the way. Many of whom have become dear friends. On average, I would be on a flight every single week of the year. A fact that has made me an expert in packing lightly & racking up more frequent flyer miles than I’ll probably be able to use in my lifetime.

Ki’ora, I’m Denis (or “Basil” to some of my mates) & have been a lover of travel all my life. I even chose it as my first career choice when I started at the New Zealand Government Tourist Bureau (now Tourism New Zealand) when I was 18! I lived for 10 years in California, half the time in San Fran & the other LA. Now, between European jaunts, Sydney Australia is my official home.

I love rugby union and played the game for 25 years. I also enjoy skiing, golf, history, and food+wine provide me with hours of entertainment! I have been active on a number of travel industry and education boards over the years and continue to work promoting Australia tourism internationally. I still have farming interests in New Zealand and get to that piece of paradise as often as I can.
