Beach hopping on The Algarve

Having been lucky enough these past months to have spent some real quality time in the beautiful Algarve in Southern Portugal, you would think we’d be experts in listing the best beaches in the region. Trouble is…frankly, there are just too many! It’s quite outrageous.

Coming from Australia, you could safely assume that we’d be pretty good judges of outstanding beaches; given we do have so many spectacular ones of our own. But, in fairness, the coastline of Oz is some 27,000 kms long. You’d kinda think you would come across some stunning stretches of white sand & crystal blue water with that much to offer.

In contrast, The Algarve is only around 160kms long but boasts some 180 beaches stretching over an incredibly diverse & often rugged coastline. Whilst we have visited a few in our  time here, we’re a way off seeing them all! But… we’re workin’ on it!!
